Women in light jets

An interesting feature of this year's Very Light Jets - Europe conference, held from 24/25 September at London Oxford Airport http://www.miuevents.com/archive/vlj-e09) was the participation of women representing various specialities within the light jet sector. Aoife O'Sullivan from Gates and Partners spoke on legal issues and provided insights into how funding agencies and insurance companies viewed the VLJ. Sarah Chapman, also a lawyer, from Forest Aviation presented on the sticky issue of VAT and taxation in Europe. Gabriella Somerville, a leading broker who runs ConnectJets, provided an alternative viewpoint to the operators. Dagmar Grossmann and Antonia Tomkova from Grossmann Jet Service represented the private air charter operators from Central Europe. Carole Leach from Air Quality Management Services is an expert on airworthiness compliance. There were also a number of female pilots participating as delegates.

As well as adding some sparkle to the proceedings the ladies certainly kept the men on their toes and to see them in action the event video can be downloaded through the link: http://www.miuevents.com/archive/video/login/vlj-e09

A sample of the event video is provided below and the event gallery can be viewed at: http://www.miuevents.com/galleries/vlj-e09
