Light Jet sector set to fly
This week, MIU will stage the third annual Very Light Jets - Europe conference, 24/25 September at Oxford Airport, UK (http://www.miuevents.com/vlj-e09). It's been a turbulent period for the light jet and air taxi/charter sector and this week's event will provide scope for the industry to take stock and reflect on some of the lessons learnt from the last year or so and to look forward to the launch of new operations. The business climate continues to present operators and supporting organisations with some stiff challenges so the event will examine some innovative thinking in terms of start up operations and set that against the experience of established operators.
Very Light Jets-Europe will also explore in detail the realities of owning and operating light and entry level business jets and the legal, financial, taxation, insurance, efficiency, airworthiness and effective management issues surrounding the aircraft.
Also, what can we expect from the manufacturers as Eclipse re-enter the market. We'll hear from Embraer and HondaJet about their plans in Europe. Industry experts, operators, regional airports, FBOs, brokers, lawyers, funding agencies, regulatory bodies, government agencies, industry associations, manufacturers, supply and service providers, consultants, pilots and an assortment of industry commentators will meet at Very Light Jets -Europe 2009 to chart the next stage of the journey for the VLJ.
The event will feature the new Embraer Phenom 100 and a static display of aircraft.
