Biggin Hill a hit with BAE delegates

The Business and General Aviation Industry turned out in force to attend the Business Aircraft Europe (incorporating 5th Light Jets Europe) event at London Biggin Hill last week. The event has moved to Biggin having been held the previous two years at London Oxford airport.
Delegates were provided with a full briefing on plans for the Olympic and Paralympic Games next summer and we heard from a range of speakers covering business aircraft sales and the resale market, the likely impact
from ETS, innovative online solutions, business aircraft management and operation, pricing structures, air taxi update and case studies, pilot training, competency and HR issues, cabin communications and connectivity, structuring finance, insurance, OEM initiatives and FBO provision and planning.
Day 1 chairman, Patrick Margetson Rushmore, CEO from London Executive Aviation, urged delegates to engage with journalists and politicians so the public perception of business aviation and GA was better understood, he said "Our industry is an important enabler to economic growth and a significant employer .... We need to convey these points more widely and more powerfully which means sustained and cohesive communications".
Delegates and exhibition attendees were treated to a spectacular flying display from the Biggin based Spitfire, Spirit of Kent, at the end of Day 1 and a sumptuous reception at the newly completed Rizon Jet FBO building.
