Build VLJ's in Spain says BAIE

Jose Mariano Lopez-Urdiales, GM - Barcelona Aeronautics and Space Administration (BAIE), speaking at this year's VLJ-Europe in Barcelona, urged manufacturers to build their aircraft in Spain. The VLJ is the ideal aircraft for Europe and the manufacturers need to look at building their aircraft closer to its prime market.

This view was echoed by other speakers, particularly operators, who felt delivery of the VLJs from the US and Brazil was a significant additional, and avoidable, cost.
