FAA - EASA safety agreement

On June 30, Robert A. Sturgell, Acting Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration and Antonio Tajani, European Commissioner for Transport signed an agreement to further enhance safety co-operation between the US and the EU.  The accord strengthens the collaboration between the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in the regulation of Civil Aviation.  It also reflects the confidence in the single European safety system, covering 27 member states and the safety system in the US.
