Silverjet is grounded

30 May 2008

Silverjet, the British low fare all-businness-class airline ceased operations today.  The flight from Dubai to London Luton was the last of an airline that was not able to receive the necessary finance that was originally promised by Viceroy Holdings LLC.  The high price of oil was also blamed for this decision and the future of the airline's crew and ground staff is now uncertain.
