Embraer plans a new facility in the US for VLJs

Embraer (Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica S.A.) announced its plans to invest an estimated US$50 million for the expansion of its operations in the US.  The new facility of 150,000 sq ft will be the first for Embraer in the US and it will be producing the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 Very Light Jets. 
This major project will take place at Melbourne International Airport in Melbourne, FL and it will create around 200 new skilled positions by 2011. 
Embraer has a workforce of approximately 23,900 employees and orders worth US$20.3 billion.
