FAA revises VLJ delivery forecast

5 May 2009

2008 saw 262 VLJ deliveries, against an FAA forecast of 400 deliveries. A further 200 VLJs will enter the active fleet over the next two years and then is expected to increase to 270-300 aircraft per annum. Despite the global economic downturn the FAA expects corporate/business operations to increase steadily as security and delays at traditional commercial hubs encourage time pressed executives to seek more efficient alternatives to the scheduled carriers.
