Chairman - Alan Perry
Alan Perry has been involved with staging transport related events since 1987. After graduating in
1975 he spent two spells working overseas, in Bahrain and the USA. In the US he trained as an air charter/ taxi pilot operating out of San Francisco, flying a variety of turboprops and twins. In 1981 he joined the London advertising agency MSA&L In 1984 he left to start up the industry journal, Port Development International and PDI Conferences. The company was sold to Euromoney Plc in 1999. In 2000 he started MIU providing consultancy and event management to transport operators. In 2006 he sold these interests and now concentrates on providing consultancy services to a variety of aviation interests and runs a series of niche aviation events under the MIU brand.
He is a keen aviator and has additional business interests on the operations side of the industry. He has also been heavily involved in setting up the Air Taxi Association in Europe, a collective of like-minded air taxi businesses and interests. He served as the Managing Director of the Air Taxi Association in Europe during its inaugural year.
He is currently engaged with Dubai Airports in helping to promote the cause of general aviation in the Middle East.
