Business Aircraft Europe will be held at London Biggin Hill airport again for 2012.
Following the move from Oxford Airport last year, the overwhelming response from delegates and exhibition visitors was to make Biggin Hill the permanent home for the event.
2012 is the year of the London Olympic and Paralympic Games and we were told by the special CAA co-ordination team, presenting at BAE 2011, that we can expect unprecedented levels of business aircraft movements covering the period of the Games. Although this will be a
welcome boost for the industry, and especially those operating in the SE of England, the industry is still suffering from the effects of the global financial crisis and with European economies still in turmoil the outlook for the industry is still uncertain.
What can we expect in 2012 and how will economic forces affect those operating and servicing business aircraft and their customers in Europe? We were told at BAE 2011 that there were virtually no new millionaires in Europe through 2010/2011, with the emerging economies to the East and in Asia providing the new breed of high net worths. How will this impact on those traditionally using private jet charter and how do European operators and the supply and service sector tap into the potentially lucrative markets of the emerging nations?
BAE 2012 will provide an opportunity to take stock following the frenetic activity surrounding the Games and will include the usual array of networking options and a fully catered reception at the end of Day 1.

DIRECTIONS TO THE VENUE
We do not advise using a Sat Nav – please follow the instructions below instead:
Those coming from Gatwick (M23), Heathrow and other routes from the West, leave the M25 at Junction 6 for A22 South and, at the next roundabout, join the A25 for WESTERHAM. When arriving in Westerham, follow the A233 – this road takes you directly to Biggin Hill Airport (Executive Passenger Terminal).
If you are coming from the M20 or M26, leave the M25 at Junction 5 and, at the next roundabout, join the A25 heading West towards Westerham. Arriving in Westerham, take the A233.
And if you are coming from M25 East, leave at Junction 4 for A21 towards Bromley, in Locksbottom join A232 and take left turn to A233 at the first traffic sign.
The approach to the airfield at Biggin Hill is from the A233. Look for the sign "Executive Passenger Terminal". As you turn into the airfield there is a car park immediately to the right before the security barrier. This is the recommended car park for attendees. Overspill parking will be available to the left of the security barrier.
After you have parked you will need to walk through the security barrier. Walk round to the right (avoiding airside) and follow the service road which will take you behind the hangar complex. There is a reception area with signage on entry to the hangar - you will be directed into the main complex which houses the exhibition and conference. Speakers, delegates and exhibitors will be able to pick up their passes from the internal registration desk. Exhibitor passes will be available for collection on set up day also (from 2pm on Tuesday 11 September).
