Very Light Jets - Latin America & The Caribbean 2007
10-
11 December 2007- Sofitel Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
The VLJ manufacturers are targeting the Air Taxi and GA markets for their new generation of light jets. Analysts predict that 50 % of VLJ sales will be outside the USA and the next most significant market is Latin America and the Caribbean. Many analysts predict that Latin America, and Brazil in particular, will see substantial growth in business aviation and owner/pilot purchases as the Latin American economies expand over the next decade.
The advent of the VLJ has been compared to the impact that the budget airlines have had on commercial aviation. Others have described the innovative thinking and scope of VLJ applications as comparable to the arrival of new generation computers. However, there's a way to go and many issues to be addressed if the VLJ is to be successful in Latin America and the Caribbean - regulatory and otherwise.
Following our popular VLJ conferences in Dubai and Vienna, MIU takes it's innovative VLJ series of events to Rio in December to examine how the VLJ will adapt to life in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Will the VLJ dance the Samba or get drunk with the band?
