General Aviation in the Middle East is developing at a rapid pace. The current fleet of business jets is expected to double over the next five years to 600 aircraft and additional services such as air ambulance and rescue missions, agricultural operations, law enforcement, fire fighting operations, flying displays, and pilot training will be based at the Al Maktoum airport at Jebel Ali in Dubai.
